Dorado Pkg Joins Forces With ImpressionsLA

(Billboard Publicity Wire) March 16, 2010 -- ImpressionsLA, a visual communications company with FSC “green” certification producing award-winning services for clients nationwide, today announced a merger with Dorado Pkg, a leader in entertainment industry packaging dedicated to affordably providing independent and major labels, musicians and distributors with quality print and vinyl record packaging products.

ImpressionsLA, founded over 28 years ago by Jennifer Freund, specializes in marketing materials and sales collateral as well as traditional print products whereas Dorado Pkg, established in 1993, is best known for its vinyl record jackets (12”, 10” and 7”), inner sleeves and inserts. Dorado also produces a wide array of entertainment products such as CD booklets and folders, posters, box sets, tour books and more. By acquiring this leader in entertainment print and packaging, ImpressionsLA will direct its resources toward this niche and work with both major and independent record labels, pressing plants and musicians nationwide.

“This merger will help expand our clients’ printing & packaging options and support their creative potential with new online ordering capabilities and interactive web features. Simultaneously, we will keep an intense focus on new techniques for customizing products, to produce higher value album covers with the superb customer service that Dorado has always been known for,” says ImpressionsLA founder and CEO, Jennifer Freund. “Dorado’s founder Bob Price and I have been doing business together for years and I’ve always been enthusiastic about this vibrant corner of the industry, I know we can create extra value for our customers, new and old.” Freund continues, “We’re excited to be part of such a dynamic community and are committed to enriching the love of vinyl by helping artists create the visual component of their releases with an increased capacity, faster turnaround time and deep appreciation for their work and ideas.”

The merger is effective immediately. Both companies will operate out of the ImpressionsLA North Hollywood facility; Dorado Pkg will retain its name and identity as a unique branch of ImpressionsLA. Each organization’s specialized staff will remain in place, working with state of the art printing technology alongside Dorado’s renowned record jacket machinery and custom equipment. Additionally, as part of the merger, Dorado Pkg will experience a 20% staff expansion in order to continuously meet their standard of fast turnaround, quality assurance and customer satisfaction.

Freund and the rest of the ImpressionsLA-Dorado team are looking forward to meeting Dorado Pkg’s existing clientele and forming new customer relationships at the 2010 SXSW Music Festival March 17 – 21 in Austin, TX. Visit Dorado Pkg at booth # 202.
